Caribbean Tower, Miramar, PR

The project is located within the up and coming historic district of Miramar.  With the use of refreshing new materials, vibrant colors, and modern features, the ground floor of the Caribbean Tower seeks to rejuvenate in order to complement the surrounding buildings and bring life to the area.  The scope aims to regulate the exterior aspect of this pedestrian strip by the use of the same architectural language in the storefronts of the shops and in the urban elements. The seating areas are meant to expand commercial activities to the exterior and maximize the use of the sidewalk, thus providing an improved exterior experience for customers. Providing new elements such as signage and wayfinding, barriers, seating and shading, bicycle racks and appropriate illumination aids the user’s urban experience while providing businesses with a new approach to the user’s interests.
